Bella Lane

Bella Lane was born in the Amazon rain forest in Peru and from a very young age loved stitching fabric pieces and playing with coloured threads and needles. After completing her secondary education she moved to the Peruvian capital Lima and ran two successful businesses.  Bella arrived in London in 2001 and became a volunteer for VSO, completing community development assignments in Tanzania and Somaliland, and helping disadvantaged women with small enterprises in Ethiopia.  She still enjoys humanitarian work and supports charity organisations whenever possible.  In August 2009 Bella graduated from the RSN Apprenticeship with Distinction.  She is now a textile artist based in London and a freelance tutor sharing her skills with individuals and groups.
