Post Diploma Techniques in Technical Hand Embroidery
The Post Diploma Techniques course is the icing on the cake of your C&D journey, teaching you a choice of the advanced skills in Box Making, Both Sides Alike or Whitework. The technique you will study is taught by our team of expert tutors, each with a minimum of three years professional training at the RSN.
You must have completed your Certificate and Diploma levels to enter the Post Diploma Techniques level. As with the Certificate and Diploma courses, you can be flexible in your training with a range of dates and days available to complete the module.
Students who have completed our Certificate and Diploma Courses in Technical Hand Embroidery have gone on to use their skills as designers and embroiderers on private and public commissions including community textile projects, work for churches, cathedrals and religious buildings as well as in fashion.
Post Diploma Technique Course Structure
You only need to complete one module to receive your Post Diploma Techniques certificate in that particular technique.
These may be taken as standalone options:

- Both sides alike
- Advanced creative box – previous experience of box construction necessary
- Fine whitework – previous experience of whitework techniques necessary

Course Duration
You need to complete your Post Diploma Technique module within 1 year.
We recommend that you commit to doing a class at least once every two weeks to get the maximum benefit from your training.
Pricing
- You can opt to pay per day, or for the full module in one payment
- Per day: £155
- Whole Module: £1240 (8 days per module)
Any materials required will be ready for you in the classroom and will include everything that you need to get started.
Next Steps
You’ll need to have completed the Certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery and the Diploma in Technical Hand Embroidery before you can join the Post Diploma Techniques. If you have completed both, you can book straight into the Post Diploma Techniwues courses using your current log-in.
