We’re coming to America!  Back by popular demand, we are delighted to announce our return to the USA for our second embroidery Summer School in July 2020!

We will be returning to Sayre School in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky, USA from Sunday 12 July to Sunday 26 July 2020 for two back-to-back weeks with some of your favourite Tutors returning and some new ones for you to meet.  Choose from a range of stunning embroidery designs and attend special events to fully immerse yourself in the rich history and expert techniques of the Royal School of Needlework.

There is a wide range of techniques to choose from including Crewelwork, Goldwork, Silk Shading, Tambour and RibbonWork. Designs will be both contemporary and historical, including English Medieval embroidery, Opus Anglicanum.

Choose your Week, Session and Classes

The USA Summer School 2020 runs over two weeks. Each week provides (almost!) the same itinerary and class schedule so you can choose which week you wish to attend.

As well as our five-day ‘full’ sessions (which run over six days, Monday to Saturday), for those for whom a full week may be too long we will also be running four-day ‘short’ sessions running from Thursday to Sunday (although these will be restricted to just 24 people each week). In each session there are a variety of classes to choose from to suit all tastes.
