Tuesday 9 April: Tour & Taster Workshop: ‘Berlin Wool Work Scissor Keeper’   Your day at the Royal School of Needlework will include The Embroidered Home Exhibition Tour plus a half day taster embroidery class and kit.

Saturday 13 -Sunday 14 April: Introduction to Appliqué, Raised Embroidery & Ribbon Embroidery: ‘Rose Arch’ The Rose Arch design is suitable for all levels and combines various embroidery techniques to create a piece with 3D effect.

Saturday 27 April: Introduction to Blackwork: ‘Whale Tail’  You will learn how to work simple patterns and simple shading in order to stitch this lovely whale tail design.

Saturday 27 April: Introduction to Silk Shading: ‘Pink Flower’ Always wanted to try Silk Shading? Have a go at this introduction class which will teach you the basic long and short stitch technique needed to complete this contemporary ‘Pink Flower’ design in 3 tones of stranded cotton.


Saturday 13 April: Stitching for the Terrified: ‘Shell’This course is for you if you are new to embroidery.  Students will stitch half a dozen of the most commonly occurring stitches: Chain, Backstitch, Stem, French Knots, whipped and woven stitches.

Sunday 14 April: Introduction to Contemporary Crewelwork: ‘Yellow Daisy’Stitches will include Long and Short, French Knots, Bullions, Stem, Chain and Cable. No previous experience is expected.


Saturday 20 April: Introduction to Goldwork: ‘Inspired by the Luttrell PsalterJoin RSN Tutor Helen McCook on this one-day introduction to Goldwork inspired by one of the most famous manuscripts from the medieval period, the Luttrell Psalter.
