Class Dates: Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 June 2019
Students will learn a range of Stumpwork techniques that can be put together to create a figure like this absolutely fabulous Mary Poppins.
Techniques include padding, creating the body and face, clothing, creating slips and wired parts. Once these are made, you will learn how they are all assembled together.
With the recent release of the ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ film will your figure be a Julie Andrews or an Emily Blunt or will you model it on yourself!
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
This class will run from 10am-4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU.
