Join RSN Tutor Helen McCook for for this one-day introduction to Goldwork inspired by one of the most famous manuscripts from the medieval period, the Luttrell Psalter. Commissioned by Sir Geoffrey Luttrell probably between 1325 and 1335, it is famous for its beautifully wrought illustrations and decorative scrolls. This piece of metalwork pays homage to these margin scrolls. You will be introduced to craft felt padding,  soft felt padding, Couching, Overstretched Pearl Purl, spangles with beads, Chips and Cutwork

The class kit will include everything you need to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights if needed on the day.

The class will run at The Traditional Textiles School, 17c Vyse Street, The Jewellery Quarter, Hockley, Birmingham. B18 6LE
