This one Day Class is suitable for beginners who would like to try embroidery for the first time or who have not picked up a needle since childhood and are looking for a new and exciting hobby. During this introduction class you will learn commonly used embroidery stitches which are used in a variety of techniques. Stitches covered include Chain Stitch, Stem Stitch, French Knots, Satin Stitch, Fly Stitch and Woven Wheels. The flower will be stitched with stranded cottons on a cotton fabric. A demonstration will show how to work each stitch and then you will have the opportunity to practice so that you can complete this lovely design along with adding to your repertoire of stitches for future projects. The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
