This autumn leaf is in an Elizabethan style and shares many stitches with that period including an Elizabethan Double Looped Edging and Elizabethan Spider’s Webs ( Stem, Herringbone, Coral, Trellis, Shaded Stem, Laidwork with Gold, Japanese, Cutwork, Seeding, Padding and Plunging). This leaf is a celebration of the combination of oldwork and Crewelwork stitches. The piece is aimed at the more intermediate stitcher who may have tried some Goldwork before.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
This class will run from 10am-4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU.
