£111.00*Price includes the cost of £25.00 for the required kit.

Come and enjoy a relaxing day of Kantha stitching; with just one basic stitch to learn the design possibilities are limitless. Based on a tree of life the image, worked on white linen using DMC threads, leaves room for individual interpretation. Your kit will include everything you need to finish a soporific lavender bag. Embroidery focusses on repetitive actions and a skill level that can always be improved upon, so we enter a 'flow' state - the perfect balance between skill and challenge. Within this flow textile crafts have been found to increase self-esteem, engagement with the wider world and positive living. The repetitive movements employed in working basic Running Stitch employed in Kantha are meditative and relaxing, so switch off your brain for a day and enjoy a moment or two of calm. The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day. This class will run from 10am-4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU. Please click here to view important joining information about Hampton Court courses.
