Create a winter-themed embroidery design of hellebores, berries and spruce with just a touch of snowy, frosty glitter stitched on a beautiful grey linen.
This class will teach students new to the art of embroidery, how with just a few simple stitches delicate floral designs can be created and used to embellish clothes, napkins, table cloths and cushions.
During the course of the day, students will be introduced to the following stitches: Stem Stitch, Fly Stitch, Satin Stitch, French Knots, Pistil Stitch and Long and Short Stitch. They will also be shown how it is possible to create their own wreath design using the stitches they have learnt and apply them to different flowers.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
This class will run from 10am-4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU.
