Come and enjoy a day of specialist hand embroidery. You will sew a silver Ram using Goldwork techniques on boiled wool. By the end of the class you will be familiar with the application and limitations of working with metallic thread, including Japanese thread, pearl purl, chipping and kid. The kit includes everything you need to make a cherry stone heat bag and all levels of stitchers are welcome. There is a long tradition of using cherry stones as a filling for heat pads and the pad can be popped into the microwave to heat up. The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
