Bookings for this class will close on Monday 27 July for customers in North America to allow for the kit to be posted out in time for the class.

For customers in UK and Europe who wish to take this class, bookings will close on Monday 17 August.

Please note that the cost includes the necessary kit but does not include shipping, which will be added automatically at the checkout.

This one day online class is suitable for beginners who would like to try embroidery for the first time, or those who have not picked up a needle since childhood and who are looking for a new and exciting hobby.

The Koi Pond design was inspired by the bowls filled with water lilies and Koi, often found in Japanese shrines and gardens.

Students will learn the basics of hand embroidery working with brightly coloured stranded and perle cotton threads on blue cotton to recreate the Koi Pond design. The class will teach you how to start and finish threads neatly as well as several commonly used stitches including Fly Stitch, Chain Stitch, Seeding, Stem Stitch, French Knots and Woven Wheels.

The kit contains everything needed to complete the project.

There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed to you along with an invitation to join the class on the day.

The class kit will be posted out to you. The kit includes all the materials you require to complete the project. It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes and a pair of embroidery scissors  and a 6"hoop will be needed.
