Bookings for this class will close on Friday 4 September for customers in North America to allow for the kit to be posted out in time for the class.

Designed as an introductory taster, this Jacobean Crewelwork class teaches the beginner embroiderer basic stitches including Satin Stitch, Stem Stitch, Seed Stitch, Fly Stitch and French Knots as well as skills that they will use again and again.

The Tulip motif uses just a few colours from the vast range of traditional Appletons crewel wool and is worked on calico, all keeping in line with the traditional Jacobean style of embroidery.

Kit includes fabric, instructions, crewel wools and needle.’

The finished design measures 8cm x 9cm (WxH)

There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed to you along with an invitation to join the class on the day.

The class kit will be posted out to you. The kit includes all the materials you require to complete the project. It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes and a pair of embroidery scissors  and a 6" hoop will be needed.
