This class will develop your skills leading on from an Introduction to Embroidery class. Worked to a set design inspired by Clarice Cliff who in 1928 introduced her Crocus pattern which became an instant hit. You may have worked the Clarice Cliff teacup as an Introduction to Embroidery prior to this and the teapot would sit nicely beside the cup but it is not essential to have stitched the teacup first.
In this class your skills will be developed by introducing you to a wider variety of stitches including Padded Satin Stitch, Chain Stitch, Coral Stitch, Herringbone Stitch, Seeding and Fishbone Stitch.
This class will be taught as 3 two and a half hour sessions (i.e. 3 x 2.5 hours = 7.5 hours)
The kit will include everything you need to recreate this iconic pattern.
There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed to you along with an invitation to join the class on the day.
Your Zoom link will be sent a minimum of 48 hours prior to the class and will be sent to the email address you booked the class with. If you do not receive it, check your junk mail to see if it is there and if you still do not have it then please email [email protected]
The class kit will be posted out to you. Your kit includes everything you need including a full colour, step by step instruction booklet. The only things you’ll need are an 8” ring frame and embroidery scissors. It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.
