Inspired by beautiful wnter snowflakes this Whitework class covers the fundamentals of Whitework and decorative Surface Stitches with an added touch of sparkle.
This design is worked on an even weave white linen, with multiple Whitework threads, DMC’s new Mouline Etoile and Silver Spangles.
This class will teach you a classic Pulled Thread technique, Padded Satin and Satin Stitches. You will also learn how to make Eyelets as well as Ladder Stitch. Along with all these Whitework techniques you will also learn some basic embroidery stitches such as Stem Stitch, Back Stitch, Split Stitch and Fly Stitch, and finally how to use Silver Spangles to embellish your snowflake.
When finished this piece can be mounted into a small embroidery hoop and used as a Christmas decoration.
Your Zoom link will be sent a minimum of 48 hours prior to the class and will be sent to the email address you booked the class with. If you do not receive it, check your junk mail to see if it is there and if you still do not have it then please email [email protected]
The class kit will be posted out to you. The kit includes all the materials you require to complete the project. It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes and a pair of embroidery scissors and an 8″ hoop will be needed.
