This beautiful embroidery design was inspired by floral designs from the seventeenth century.

The flower, leaves and bud are embroidered using a technique known as Thread Painting or Long and Short Stitch using stranded cottons and are contrasted by stems of gold thread worked in Plaited Braid Stitch and Chain Stitch. The embroidery is completed with the addition of gold spangles.

The class kit includes everything needed to complete the embroidery: silk backing fabric, DMC stranded cottons, gold thread, spangles, needles and a colour instruction booklet.

All the stitches covered in this class and more can be found on the RSN Stitchbank.

Your Zoom link will be sent a minimum of 48 hours prior to the class and will be sent to the email address you booked the class with. If you do not receive it, check your junk mail to see if it is there and if you still do not have it then please email [email protected]

The class kit will be posted out to you. Your kit includes everything you need including a full colour, step by step instruction booklet. The only things you’ll need are an 6" ring frame and embroidery scissors. It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.
