Inspired by the bright array of Tulips on display at Hampton Court Palace in the Spring. This class is suitable for beginners. No previous experience is necessary, but embroiderers of all levels are welcome.
The design features a variety of Surface Stitches including Chain Stitch, Seeding, Burden, Whipped Back Stitch, Padded Satin and Laid Work. Worked in Stranded Cotton on Irish linen, students will also learn how to blend colours in the needle to create subtle shading throughout the design.
The class is split over two evening sessions, a week apart, to allow for time to stitch at your own pace in between.
There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed to you along with an invitation to join the class on the day.
All the stitches covered in this class and more can be found on the RSN Stitchbank.
Your Zoom link will be sent a minimum of 48 hours prior to the class and will be sent to the email address you booked the class with. If you do not receive it, check your junk mail to see if it is there and if you still do not have it then please email [email protected]
The class kit will be posted out to you. The kit includes all the materials you require to complete the project. It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes and a pair of embroidery scissors, a small ruler and an 8" hoop will be needed.
