Canvaswork is a counted technique full of possibilities. These will be explored during this class designed to help you overcome any obstacles prior to starting your Canvaswork module or personal project. The class will introduce you to the historical context and influences of Canvaswork. We will look at historical pieces right up to the modern day pieces stitched at the RSN. You will learn how to think about an image that will be suitable for the technique, whereby all the components required can be balanced within the piece. We will discuss Pointillism, Fauvism and Expressionism and how our understanding of these artistic styles can influence our Canvaswork today. We will break down your chosen images and transfer the image onto canvas in a small kit provided for the class.'

There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class an invitation to join the class on the day will be emailed to you.

Your Zoom link will be sent a minimum of 48 hours prior to the class and will be sent to the email address you booked the class with. If you do not receive it, check your junk mail to see if it is there and if you still do not have it then please email [email protected]
