In this online class you will discover how to stitch this stunning Fox design, embroidered in beautiful old gold, copper and silver-plated metal threads and focusing on the traditional stitches of Goldwork embroidery including Couching, Chipping and Cutwork. This design is worked over 3 layers of felt padding giving the piece a sculptural effect as well as enhancing the sheen of the threads.
Once completed, the embroidery can be mounted and hung in the little wooden hoop provided. The finished design embroidery measures approximately 8 x 6cm, and the wooden hoop is 11cm diameter.
During the three weekly online sessions Becky will guide you step by step through the project with a mixture of live and pre-recorded demonstrations as well as showing images relevant to each stitch. Feedback will be given during the class but can also be given via a specifically set up WhatsApp group allowing the tutor to see images of your progress.
