Description

The Sparkling Squirrel kit project was inspired by the intricate patterns on vintage and antique, and is decorated with snow-white ornaments and darning patterns.

Worked in a range of iridescent white and metallic threads on a rich red 40 count evenweave linen, to evoke those chilly midwinter nights when minute ice crystals cover the trees, and the whole world glitters in the moonlight.

Stitch techniques include Couching, Counted Stitch Patterns, Stem Stitch, Satin Stitch and beading techniques embroidered with a range of DMC stranded and Perle cotton, Au Ver A Soie metallic filament and braid, Rainbow Gallery novelty thread, Miyuki beads and sequins.
