RSN Sip & Stitch took place on World Embroidery Day on Saturday 30 July and was a celebration of needlework for everyone around the globe. If you would like to host your own RSN Sip & Stitch event, but didn’t get a chance during World Embroidery Day, you can still sign up and access all the free resources here.
How do I become a host, in person or online?
There are many places where you can host your RSN Sip & Stitch 2022 event. Perhaps you are part of a stitch or craft group and you can sip and stitch in your usual venue. You may decide to host the event in your home or garden, in a community centre, in your office, pub or park.
Have you recently taken Online Classes with like-minded stitchers at the other end of the country or on the other side of the world? Why not organise a convenient time online for different time zones to include the maximum number of guests, and make it a truly international event!
All you need to do is complete the registration form below and submit it to the RSN. Then take time to look through all our free resources, choose your date and start inviting your guests! We have featured lots of ideas to get your creative juices flowing as well as top tips on running your event and advice on fundraising routes.

Yes, we would love for as many countries to take part as possible as all monies contribute towards RSN Stitch Bank, the world directory of stitches.

How will my donations be used?
The Royal School of Needlework is a registered charity and receives no government funding. This year, donations raised by the Sip & Stitch events will fund and help expand RSN Stitch Bank.
How do I make my donation to the RSN following my Sip & Stitch event?
Following the event you can make your donation in a variety of ways.
What do I need to supply my guests on the day?
This is entirely up to you. You may wish for guests to bring their own supplies or you may wish to request donations and have everything prepared already. There are a wide variety of stitch templates and theme ideas, plus top tips on how to run your event.
