Fiona Townsend uses her technical knowledge and skills in hand embroidery to create innovative and contemporary works for interiors.

Inspired by sheet music and Vinyl records, each of the dynamic instructions and volume changes were interpreted as mark-making ink drawings.

The abstracted marks were then replicated through hand embroidery; ‘The Dynamics of Music’ and the embellished Vinyl records explore how the principle of music theory can be interpreted conceptually.
