Catch up with this fascinating talk on Holbein, the pre-eminent artist at the court of King Henry VIII, with Kate Heard, Senior Curator of Prints and Drawings at Royal Collection Trust and Curator of the acclaimed exhibition, Holbein at the Tudor Court at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace.

Kate discusses Holbein’s working practice in Tudor England, asking what the drawings and paintings on display can tell us about the man and his art. She also reveals details of the Tudor dress worn by many of Holbein’s subjects.

The Royal Collection includes one of the most significant groups of portraits by Hans Holbein the Younger, who worked in England from 1526 until his death in 1543. A selection of these works is currently on display at the Holbein exhibition which is enjoying rave reviews in the British national press:
