Created for the British Museum’s landmark exhibition, the kits allow embroidery enthusiasts, history lovers and museum visitors to recreate details from this extraordinary 11th-century masterpiece. The three designs Off to Pevensey, Look Out From Battle Ridge and Harold’s Hound, draw directly from scenes and motifs within the original tapestry.

Designed by RSN studio embroiderer Marg Dier, each kit uses closely woven cream linen and four shades of 100% British Appleton’s crewel wool, allowing stitchers to explore traditional techniques including Bayeux stitch, split stitch, stem stitch and chain stitch.
