Helen Jones

Helen returned to adult education after a career as a lawyer.  She graduated from the RSN Future Tutors programme in 2016.  She now has her own business and also teaches for the RSN on the Certificate and Diploma in Technical Hand Embroidery programme, mainly at RSN Midlands and sometimes at Hampton Court, as well as Day Classes at Hampton Court and Glasgow.

Her interest in historical embroidery has led to her choosing embroideries  from the RSN Collection to research and to create classes which others can enjoy.

In 2018 Helen taught a well received class during ‘Orla Kiely: A Life in Pattern’ at London’s Fashion and Textile Museum. Since then she has taught a number of Partnership Classes at various locations along with several classes for schools and families. classes.

In March 2022 Helen joined the Education Team as Co Programme Manager on the C&D Programme.

In 2023, Helen was honoured to be part of the Embroidery Studio team at the Royal School of Needlework who worked on the Anointing Screen for the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.”
