Lisa Bilby

Lisa teaches on the RSN Certificate & Diploma Programme as well as working on a variety of commissions for the RSN Studio. Before coming to the Royal School of Needlework as an Apprentice in 2001, she completed a degree in Costume Design and Production.

Graduating from the RSN Apprenticeship, Lisa won several prizes including the Hilda Watson prize for Silk Shading and the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers prize for Goldwork.

She was privileged to be part of the embroidery team who worked on the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress in 2011, an Oscar dress for Naomie Harris in 2013, a wedding dress for the late L’Wren Scott and more recently in 2015 for Cornelia Parker, ‘Magna Carta (an Embroidery)’ which was exhibited in the British Library.
