Terms and Conditions
1. Organiser: The competition is run by the Royal School of Needlework (RSN).
2. Eligibility: Entry is open to anyone aged 18 or over. Employees of the RSN and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter: To enter, submit your guess of the number of skeins of wool in the wool wall via the competition form on the RSN website, including a valid email address. Only one entry per person is permitted.
4. Competition Period: The competition opens on 12 Feb 2026 at 9:00 and closes at 23:59 on 14 February 2026. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
5. Winner Selection: The winner will be the entrant whose guess is closest to the correct number of skeins of wool in the wool wall. In the event of a tie, the winner will be chosen at random from the closest guesses.
6. Prize: The winner will receive a £100 RSN Shop voucher, sent via email as a discount code. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Announcement: The correct number will be revealed on our Instagram on Monday 16 Feb and the winner will be notified by email on Monday 16 February 2026.
8. Donations: The RSN is a registered charity and we are grateful for any voluntary donations made in support of our work. Making a donation is optional and does not influence the outcome of this competition.
9. Gift Aid: If you are a UK taxpayer, you may choose to add Gift Aid to your donation. This allows the RSN to reclaim 25p for every £1 donated at no extra cost to you. You must have paid sufficient UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount claimed.
10. Data Protection: By entering, participants consent to the RSN using their name and email for the purposes of administering the competition and for optional communications if the opt-in box is ticked. Data will be handled in accordance with the RSN’s privacy policy.
11. Liability: The RSN accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, or incomplete. The RSN reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition if required.
12. Governing Law: The competition and these terms are governed by English law, and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
