All public transport in Brisbane uses a Tap on, Tap off travel card called a Go Card. The cards can be purchased and ‘topped up’ at stations and convenience stores.
Train: The nearest train station is Fortitude Valley. There is a short (300 m) uphill walk from the station to the venue. As an alternative to walking uphill, it is possible to take a bus, for one stop, from across the street to the station entrance.
Bus: From Adelaide Street in Brisbane city centre routes 334, 370, 375 and 379 leave from stop 17 (near George Street). Routes 346, 353 and 360 leave from Edward Street at stop 143 (near Elizabeth Street). All these buses set down in Brunswick Street at Bus stop 5, which is almost in front of the venue.
Car Parking: Limited, metered, on-street parking is available in Warry Street, behind the venue. A multi-story Parking Station is available near the Fortitude Valley railway station (in
the Valley Metro complex). Due to the traffic conditions, it is not possible to stop a car in front of the venue, passengers should be set down in Warry Street
Accommodation: There are several accommodation options close to the venue. Alternatively, accommodation is available in both Brisbane City and South Bank from which there is easy access by train.
Accessibility: The venue is a Heritage Listed building and does not have disabled access. There are three stairs to enter the venue, and then a flight of stairs to access the classroom, toilet and kitchen.
Facilities: There is a kitchen with a microwave and a refrigerator for student use. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are. Students may bring their own lunch. There is a coffee shop in Warry Street, just behind the venue, where lunch can be purchased. There are many other lunch options near Fortitude Valley railway station.
