Easy access to underground, bus routes, and taxis. Five minute walk from Glasgow Charing Cross station, and ten minutes from the main train stations, Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central

There is no private parking but a ticket can be collected from the Club staff which will give reduced fees at a secure local car park.

The Club has a security door with access gained by ringing a bell outside.

Accessibility

GAC has a small set of steps leading up to the front door (7 or 8 steps). They are low and wide, with sturdy bannisters on either side. There is a member of staff who, when on duty, is happy to help carry bags etc. Classes are normally held on the first floor but, with advance notice, can be moved to the ground floor. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor. The GAC does not have a lift. 

Schedule

The teaching day is from 10.00am – 4.00pm. Please arrive by 9.45am to ensure a prompt 10.00am start. Lunchtime is from 1.00pm to 2.00pm.

Refreshments

Tea, coffee and soft drinks available all day as well as a full bar. Soup, sandwiches and other snacks available from noon.

No food or drink is permitted in the classrooms.

Equipment

New Starters: The starter kit for the Jacobean module will be waiting for you when you arrive at the class.  You may like to bring a sewing kit with fine embroidery scissors.   A notebook and pencil will be useful. You are welcome to bring any lights and or magnifiers that you use.
