The thing I love most about my job is the creative freedom of our ready-to-wear range. E. Tautz was a real innovator, a very progressive tailor. He invented the knickerbocker and was the first guy to cut specific trousers for golf, polo and cycling. So our inspiration comes from a variety of sources, this season from the Bayeux tapestry to Bedlam mental hospital, through to Hogarth and Charles II.
Patrick Grant, Creative Director of E.Tautz (and judge on BBC’s Great British Sewing Bee).
