25th November, 2021
As next year is our 150th anniversary we are going to return to a face-to-face summer school at Hampton Court Palace, London to tie in with our exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum (also in London) and, as we have just heard, the display of the Queen’s Robe of Estate at Windsor Castle.
So, for eight weeks, from 4 July, we will be offering one five-day class at Hampton Court Palace each week. Each session will be different, often based on something from the RSN’s unique Archive or Collection and led by a different RSN Tutor and will have only 12 places a week. As part of the event there will also be tickets to visit the Fashion and Textile Museum and Windsor Castle as well as other special treats.
However, if coming to London is not an option we will be offering a mixture of 2, 3 day classes w/c 4 July for Australia/New Zealand time, w/c 11 July North American time and w/c 18 July UK time. The five day classes will mostly be offered on north American time w/c 11 July with shorter classes being offered online on the other two time zones, subject to demand.
We will also include some RSN Talks and special events online, open to all those who have participated in any part of our International Summer School.
More information will be coming over the next few weeks so keep a look out for the International Summer School 2022 section of our website. Booking will open in February for RSN Friends and past participants, then new students booking for the full weeks and in March for part weeks.
It is going to be a very exciting Summer School and we hope you will be able to join us in person or online.
