International Summer School Update

This year, the first part of our International Summer School will be eight different five-day courses which will run live at Hampton Court Palace and then online in the 3-9pm time slots so that they can be accessed by people in Britain, Europe and the Americas.

The eight classes will be:

  • Whitework inspired by the RSN Collection with RSN Tutor Auburn Lucas (at Hampton Court Palace, week commencing 4 July)
  • Art Embroidery Class inspired by a screen designed by arts and craft designer Selwyn Image, with RSN Tutor Jess Ingram (at Hampton Court Palace, week commencing 11 July)
  • Crewelwork inspired by a four panel crewel screen from the RSN Collection with RSN Tutor Kate Barlow (at Hampton Court Palace, week commencing 18 July)
  • Masterclass in Crewelwork featuring more unusual stitches with RSN Tutor Chrissie Juno Mann (at Hampton Court Palace, week commencing 25 July)
  • Introduction to six different techniques with RSN Tutor Amy Burt (at Hampton Court Palace, week commencing 1 August)
  • Embroidered Box, create a keepsake box to celebrate our 150th anniversary with RSN Tutor Heather Lewis (at Hampton Court Palace, week commencing 8 August)
  • Goldwork inspired by the Litany of Loreto series from the RSN Collection with RSN Tutor Helen McCook (at Hampton Court Palace, week commencing 15 August)
  • Canvaswork Knot Garden with RSN Tutor Owen Davies (dates coming soon)

Chrissie Juno Mann; Heather Lewis, Kate Barlow and Helen McCook will be teaching their classes Live Online, week commencing 11 July.   Amy Burt and Jess Ingram will be teaching their classes Live Online, week commencing 18 July.  More dates to be confirmed soon.

This is not just stitching, this is a week’s treat of stitching with like-minded friends and the Hampton Court Palace weeks will include a visit to the Fashion and Textile Museum to see the RSN exhibition. With the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee as well, it is the year to be in London!
