Our Online Day Classes are Blooming!

21st June, 2020

We are just blown away by your enthusiasm for our Online Day Classes and we are busily working away to bring you more choice to our growing online offering. Looking outside for inspiration as gardens burst into colour during British Flowers Week, there is so much to offer.

In the meantime, in response to our sold out classes and growing waiting lists, we have scheduled additional dates, and you’ll be spoilt for choice. So, whether you want to learn how to draw flowers, stitch a trio of gold leaves or simply enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your own ‘Koi Pond’  there is something to appeal to every mood. Did you know that the architecture of the koi pond can have a great effect on the health and well-being of the koi… much like hand embroidery does on human beings!

HOT OFF THE PRESS
We are excited to have added a class from RSN Tutor Amy Burt on Saturday 25 July. Her modern take on the iconic Tattoo Heart motif with its bold lines and bright colours has been given a contemporary twist using kid leather, felt padding and is outlined with Pearl Purl. The banner across the centre of the heart is left plain so it can be embroidered with the text of your choice. Book now!

This week, we received lovely feedback following Caroline Homfray’s Observational Drawing Day last Saturday and Anita Harrison’s recent Needlewoven Picot Evening Class.

Denise from Cornwall:
Thank you for such a lovely course. It was so helpful to get guidance with shade and colour. The last time I studied drawing was at school, so many years ago now. I have tried to draw flowers and would get frustrated when the drawings looked terrible so gave up. I will try the approach of shade now along with colour. I would like to draw big with bold colours so I can use these in my hand stitching. I used to live in Epsom and never got round to any courses at the RSN, which I regret. I now live in North Cornwall so taking an Online Class was brilliant!

Sheila from Essex:
Thanks Caroline, it was a lovely day and I am booked on the afternoon Colour Theory lesson, so see you soon.

Andrea from Lancashire:
Thank you for the lesson last night. I enjoyed having the ability to really watch you work unobstructed and I am really looking forward to future opportunities.
