Lizzie Lowe graduated from our Degree Course last year in June 2018. Lizzie completed her Degree Course by showcasing her wonderful work entitled ‘Crossing Borders’ – an embroidered bespoke tailored menswear collection using Goldwork and Crewelwork techniques.  It was designed for evening wear and includes a three-piece suit, loafers, a collection of socks, ties, cufflinks and tie bars. The fabric used was MacNeil tartan which represents Lizzie’s Scottish heritage from her mother’s family when they crossed the borders to live in England.

Following her graduation over the summer, Lizzie collaborated with fashion designer Michael Halpern to produce the final look of his Spring/Summer 2019 Collection.  This collection was presented at London Fashion Week in September where Lizzie worked backstage to dress the models during the event.  Lizzie also celebrated winning ‘The Worshipful Company of Broderers Award’ for ‘The Best Use of Hand Embroidery Techniques’ at Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery, in London.

Lizzie is now studying a two year MA in Menswear at the University of Westminster. The RSN wishes Lizzie every success in her Masters and looks forward to hearing how career continues to develop!
