Sarah de Rousset-Hall

Sarah graduated from the RSN’s Future Tutors programme in 2020, having spent three years learning the art of hand embroidery to the highest standard. During her Future Tutors course, Sarah also worked on the hand embroidered textile for The Duchess of Cambridge’s ‘Back to Nature’ garden at the 2019 RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival.

Since graduating, Sarah has taught regular classes for the Royal School of Needlework, both online and in person including the very first RSN Online Day Class, Certificate & Diploma, and International Summer Schools.

In 2022, she displayed three pieces at the Worshipful Company of Broderers: The Art of Embroidery Exhibition held at the Bankside Gallery, and her Blackwork portrait of David Bowie went on display at the Royal School of Needlework’s 150th Anniversary Exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum. One of her pieces for the Broderer’s exhibition was recently purchased for the Diana Springall Collection.

In 2023, Sarah was honoured to be part of the Embroidery Studio team at the Royal School of Needlework who worked on a number of items for the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, including The Queen’s Robe of Estate, the Anointing Screen and the Stole Royal.
