Make yourself silk covered macarons, that look good enough to eat!
Inspired by Sarah’s niece’s obsession with these sweet treats, use Stumpwork techniques to create perfect patisserie that make perfect Christmas decorations.
A variety of coloured silks will be available, from bright jewel tones through to soft pastels so that you can make up coloured macarons of your choice. The kit includes materials for 2 macarons, but you will be able to purchase additional materials on the day if you want to make a larger collection.
During the class we will use felt padding, Running Stitch, Lacing, Needlelace and Ladder Stitch to construct the macarons, including a silk filling and an optional cord so you can hang up your treats as a decoration.
The class kit includes all the materials you need and instructions to make two silk covered macarons: Silk fabric for covering, mini skeins of Paintbox Perle threads, cover buttons, sewing threads, needles, colour co-ordinated cords, felt for padding and sewing threads for making up.
