Pippa Foulds

Pippa Foulds was mentored by Tracy A Franklin in Durham during her studies and graduated from the Future Tutor programme with Distinction in 2017. She also won the prestigious Elizabeth Elvin Goldwork prize.

She now teaches for the RSN Certificate & Diploma course at Durham as well as Day Classes at our various satellites. Pippa taught in Dublin this year and will be teaching our Day Class season in Williamsburg this October.

Pippa worked one of the pictorial panels on ‘The Magna Carta, An Embroidery’ for artist Cornelia Parker and on ‘The Hardhome Embroidery’ for HBOs Game of Thrones as well as being lead embroiderer for the Royal School of Needlework at Burberry’s Makers House in conjunction with The New Craftsmen.

She helps Tracy A Franklin with Durham Cathedral Broderers work and has stitched a number of private commissions commercial, ecclesiastical and conservation. Pippa was appointed Head Broderer at York Minster in 2018.
