Designed by esteemed RSN Tutor and Fellow Deborah Wilding this beautiful kit is based on a 1600s man's gauntlet glove embroidered and highly decorated with silk and gold embroidery.

Goldwork Hearts embroidery kit recreates a section of the border of this beautiful and richly decorated glove. You will be using shaded satin stitch, laid work as well as a combination of gold thread work to create a section of the gloves border decorated with heart shapes in a variety of techniques.

The gauntlet gloves featured in the exhibition A History of Fashion in 100 Objects at the Fashion Museum Bath and are part of The Glove Collection of the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London, which is cared for and housed at the Fashion Museum.
