This design will introduce you to many of the stitches and techniques which are essential  in the art of Crewel Work embroidery including: split stitch, seeding stitch, trellis stitch, fly stitch, stem stitch, chain stitch, detached chain stitch, satin stitch, buttonhole stitch, long and short stitch, herringbone stitch, block shading and french knots.

This kit includes all of the threads, fabric and needles required to complete this charming hand embroidery design and the clear instruction booklet with step by step photographs will guide you easily through your project.

The traditional linen twill background fabric is provided with the design already transferred on for you.
