This embroidery kit is inspired by the detail  from one of the series of embroideries held in the RSN collection known as the Litany of Loreto. They were worked from artwork created by the Italian illustrator Ezio Anichini (1886-1948).

Skeins of stranded cotton thread
X 1 piece of fabric printed with the design.
X 2 embroidery needles.
X 1 tapestry needle.
Gold passing/Japanese thread.
Black passing thread.
X 1 reel of machine thread (yellow).
Gold bugle beads.
Mother of pearl half cut beads.
Large faux pearls.
Small faux pearls.
Golden seed beads.
X 1 hand length of buttonhole thread.
X 1 set of instructions.

By the end of the project, you'll have gained confidence in combining traditional goldwork with surface embroidery techniques, creating a richly textured piece inspired by RSN collection known as the Litany of Loreto.
