Celebrate an awe-inspiring celestial event in stitch with this stunning Or Nue embroidery of the moon.

Learn to recreate a realistic full moon using rows of Japanese silver thread stitched over in DMC stranded shades. Finally applied to a velvety sky, edged with Pearl Purl, then added sequins and bright check stars.

The super moon is special because it appears 15% larger and 30% brighter than a regular full moon, due to it drawing closer to the Earth at certain times of year.

Embroider your own magical depiction of the night sky while learning the rare goldwork technique of Or Nue.
