HCP25325 Native Wildflower: Arrowhead – EXCLUSIVE
View map
£150.00
Inspired by a beautiful native wildflower species, this design depicts Sagittaria sagittifolia, also known as arrowhead, an aquatic plant with delicate white flowers and distinctively shaped leaves.
This design provides an introduction to a variety of surface stitches that create bold outlines, patterns and textures. Incorporating fishbone stitch, stem stitch, chain stitch, seeding stitch, Van Dyke Stitch, pearl stitch and French knots, this project provides plenty of opportunities to practise these techniques. All the stitches will be covered within the tuition and you will be
provided with a detailed instruction booklet to enable you to complete the design after the class.
Using a selection of vibrantly coloured stranded cottons, this design is worked on blue cotton fabric, reflecting the aquatic habitat of the plant.
This class is suitable for beginners, but embroiderers of all levels are welcome.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
Please note this is an onsite class which will run from 10am-4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU.
