HCP2535 Drawn Thread Hems and Edges for Evenweave Fabrics

This class will demonstrate various ways to finish a piece of even-weave fabric with decorative hems and edges. The hems to be taught will include Drawn thread hem with a mitred corner, with threads grouped as bars, zig-zag or wrapped and a Peahole Hem.
The edges of Drawn thread hems can be decorated with pulled Back stitch or Buttonhole scallops with picots. As an alternative to a hem, you will learn how to finish the edges of the fabric with a Buttonhole stitch edging, a folded Pea hole stitch, and a 4-sided stitch edging.
By the end of the class you will have produced samples of various finished. Some experience of counted thread techniques, such as Cross Stitch, is not essential, but would be useful.
