ONL25765 Studio Kit: Jacobean Crewelwork Cushion
£442.16
This Jacobean Crewelwork design has been created by the RSN Studio, and is inspired by a curtain or screen design that was originally produced by the Royal School of Needlework Design Room.
During the 1930s there was a huge resurgence of interest in Jacobean Crewelwork and there were many magazine and transfers produced for the public to purchase and work. The design elements have been rearranged to fill a generous space which could be made into a cushion as shown in the images or mounted and framed as a picture.
The colours have been carefully considered to give the design a classic yet contemporary feel that will compliment most colour schemes within a room.
This short course is for those who have some embroidery experience and contains a large selection of surface embroidery stitches. Whatever method of framing up you use, the tutor will guide you through how to protect your work throughout the project, back to basics of all stitches and how to plan your order of work for a larger project such as this one.
The kit is handmade in the UK, and includes:
- 1 printed piece of linen twill,
- 1 pack of chenille no. 24,
- 1 pack of Embroidery A Broder size 5,
- 36 Skeins of Appleton Crewel wool,
- Instructions with diagrams
In addition to the kit, you will also need:
