The class takes place from 2pm - 8pm UK  on the following dates:
12 Jan, 26 Jan, 2 Feb, 9 Feb and 16 Feb 2026. (No class on 19 Jan).

Please note that the cost includes the necessary kit and tracked postage.

This very special design has been inspired by one of the stars of the RSN collection, our four-panelled Crewelwork screen. This screen has been a source of inspiration for RSN Certificate students for many years and is particularly notable for its Long and Short stitching and Trellis work. The main feature of our design is the beautiful bird that features in panel four of the original screen. He is surrounded by flowers and leaves that echo those in the other panels. During this 5 day class you’ll use Appleton’s Crewel wools on linen twill fabric to create your very own panel, that will include many Crewelwork stitches but with the main focus on Long and Short  and decorative Trellises. Suitable for intermediate and advanced stitchers, as well as adventurous beginners.

Size - Approx 22cm x 32cm

Your kit contains all the necessary materials but you will need an 18 inch slate frame/Hand Rotating roller frame that is 45cm x 30cm or larger. If you prefer you can use a 10" ring frame instead  It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes and you will also need something to support the frame so both hands are free to stitch (for those taking the online class). It would be helpful for students to frame up their fabric beforehand if taking the online class. In can be done during the first lesson. Embroidery scissors and tissue paper to protect your work will also be required.

You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
