Join us in June for an exclusive hand embroidery class inspired by the highly acclaimed exhibition, The Edwardians: Age of Elegance at The King's Gallery, Edinburgh. This event also includes an expert-led highlights tour of the show.

RSN Tutor, Helen McCook will be teaching this stunning rose design inspired by embroidered motifs created by The Royal School of Needlework on the Coronation Mantle of Edward VII in 1902. You will have the opportunity to view the Mantle in the fantastic exhibition

During the day you will learn hand embroidery techniques including metal thread work, beading, diamanté and surface stitches.

This class is suitable for all levels of skill and your kit will contain everything you need to complete the design at home .  You may like to bring your own magnifiers or lights (battery operated only please), but you will be able to borrow ring 8" Seat Frames and scissors on the day. Please do not bring your own scissors.

How to get to The Palace of Holyroodhouse

On the day of your class please arrive at the Abbey Strand Centre at 09.45am to be met by Royal Collection Trust and RSN staff.

Please bring a packed lunch and any drinks you may require during the day.
