Inspired by a beautiful native wildflower species, this design depicts Sagittaria sagittifolia, also known as arrowhead, an aquatic plant with delicate white flowers and distinctively shaped leaves.

This embroidery kit provides an introduction to a variety of surface stitches that create bold outlines, patterns and textures. You will learn seeding stitch, chain stitch, Van Dyke stitch, pearl stitch, stem stitch, fishbone stitch and French knots.

Using a selection of vibrant stranded cottons, this design is worked on blue cotton fabric, reflecting the aquatic habitat of the plant.

Included with the kit:
• Instruction booklet
• Blue cotton fabric with design
• Calico backing fabric
• 3 needles
• 8 stranded cotton threads

You will also need an 8-inch/20-cm embroidery hoop and embroidery scissors.

The finished design measures 13 cm x 10.5 cm.
