Description
Small Birds May Fly High Embroidery Kit by Jenny Adin-Christie
DESCRIPTION
Designed to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Royal School of Needlework in 2022, it was inspired by the original motto of the RSN ‘Small Birds May Fly High’, which spoke of the school’s desire to provide women with a training in embroidery, allowing them to achieve a fulfilling career. “The design includes a wren since I was always known as “Jenny Wren’ as a child and the RSN gave me the wings to fly with a career in embroidery.”
Please select from option below.
The design illustrated in the book is worked on 65 tpi linen. Please however be aware that this linen is very fine so can be tricky to see for the finer counted work.
Many people find the process of applying a complex design to the base fabric rather difficult and successful drawing of a design at the start of a project is so essential to success. This kit therefore provides the linen fabric pre-printed with the delicate design outline for you.
Also included are all the additional pieces of fabric, threads, wires, plastic sheeting and needles required to complete the piece so that you do not have to source these individually.
