This one day class will focus on three stumpwork techniques to create a three-dimensional bee brooch.
The body is embroidered with a raised plush work stitch, trimmed to create the rounded shape. The legs are wrapped wires which are shaped and applied. And the wings are wired shapes, embroidered and then cut out.
The elements will all be started in class with demonstrations and written instructions provided. All materials are included to complete the brooch which is approximately 4 cm x 4 cm.
