ONL25329 Mounting Your Finished Embroidery

Learn all of the tips and tricks to mounting and finishing your embroidery using traditional conservation techniques.
You will be guided throughout the 2 sessions with clear demonstrations on every process to enable you to successfully mount your finished embroidery.
The course includes learning how to cut the card safely and accurately, tips to position your finished embroidery smoothly, tips on how to tackle delicate or raised embroidery, how to mitre the corners neatly and secure the fabric on the reverse.
The tutor will discuss the differences in mounting using different fabrics including linen twill, canvas and silk or how to mount a sampler so that it is smooth and flat and ready for framing.
This course is suitable for both experienced stitchers and those that have never mounted their own work.
Please note there is no kit with this class, but a suggested list of materials will be available prior to the class.

There is no kit with this class but a materials list will be sent in advance so you can gather your materials.
Warning: Not suitable for small children, required materials contain sharp objects.
